I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University, and I plan to graduate in Summer 2008. My advisors are Laurie Williams and Robert St. Amant.

My interests include studying human-computer interaction in software development to create software development tools and conducting empirical studies of software engineering for software process improvement. I am also interested in studying techniques for improving interest in and the quality of computer science education. I've been fortunate enough to intern at Microsoft Research and to conduct research with product teams at corporations such as IBM, Sabre Airline Solutions, and Tekelec.
