About the Symposium for Graduate Research
The Symposium for Graduate Research (SGR) is a conference for graduate-level computer science research run by graduate students at North Carolina State University. The overarching goal of the SGR is to promote dissemination and collaboration between computer science graduate researchers, faculty, and industrial partners at the departmental, state, and national levels. The secondary goal of the GSR is a teaching conference for graduate students. Graduate students will have opportunities to serve on either the organizing committee, program committee, or both, and learn the roles and responsibilities associated with those positions. Also, graduate students can write papers and present their research to their peers either as a presentation or via a poster, providing a venue for students to practice their communication skills in a constructive, supportive environment. These students will receive valuable feedback about their research from their peers, faculty, and industrial partners.
